Barbecue Rubbed Tofu

- 1 package firm tofu
- 2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili pepper flakes
- 1 tbps Extra virgin olive oil
Preheat barbecue to medium heat.
Remove tofu from packaging and wrap tightly in paper towels to drain excess moisture. Allow it to sit in paper towels for 5-10 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine all spices in a bowl and mix with olive oil.
Remove tofu from paper towels and slice into 1/4 inch slices the long way (lengthwise).
Brush half of mixture onto tofu slices and then place on barbecue (use a non-stick grilling mat so tofu doesn't stick to grill grates or oil the grates before putting the tofu on the grill). Barbecue for about 3 minutes on medium high heat, and then turn and brush the other side of the tofu and cook for 3 more minutes.
Remove from grill, let sit for 2 minutes, and then serve immediately.
