Cinnamon Baked Apples

Cinnamon Baked Apples
Ingredients
- 4 Large Apples peeled, cored, and sliced thin (Cortland, Gala, or Grannysmith are best)
- 3 tsp Fresh lemon juice
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease the bottom of an oven-proof baking dish, such as a Pyrex, with coconut oil by putting some coconut oil on a paper towel and then rubbing it along the bottom of the dish.
- Spread the apple slices along the bottom of the dish into a thin layer(s), and then sprinkle the lemon juice on top of them. Next sprinkle the cinnamon and then nutmeg on top of the apples.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove the baking dish from the oven, and cover with tin foil for about 15 minutes. Serve immediately or refrigerate and store for later. Can be stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
