While research has clearly proven the significant and powerful role that nutrition and lifestyle habits play in mental illness, the mind/body connection doesn’t always receive the attention it deserves in a patient’s mental health regimen.
My mission is to spotlight and enhance the vital mind/body connection, specifically between the gut and the brain. I work with therapists and psychiatrists in a team-based approach when their patients need a specialist to provide wellness strategies and executive functioning coaching.
Through lifestyle strategies and techniques, I incorporate organization, structure, and systems to help those with poor executive functioning and nutritional imbalances.
My diverse approach is 100% customized and tailored to the needs of the individual by providing mentoring and practical “hands-on” skills that deliver short-term results, while also building a framework to ensure long-term sustainable lifestyle changes.
Working collaboratively with the mental health practitioner(s), patients are ultimately equipped with a more robust set of tools to significantly increase their opportunity for success.
My proven success includes helping patients with a diverse range of mental health challenges including bipolar, generalized anxiety, panic, depression, addiction, ADHD, eating disorders, borderline personality, schizophrenia, phobias, insomnia, and dual diagnoses patients.
I will help your patients create new daily habits including the following:
- Creating and maintaining an organized living space.
- Cultivating independence by implementing goal-setting and accountability plans.
- Assisting and coaching career planning and job hunting efforts.
- Creating and adhering to daily calendars and schedules.
